Colorsplosion!

Dress: Tracee Ellis Ross for JCP Kindness // Blazer: Similar // Shoes: Similar, Similar // Bag: Nordstrom

Hi, Friends!! Happy less-than-a-week before Christmas!  Are you ready??  I actually did quite a bit of frantic shopping online yesterday and will continue to do so today (I only have one more person left!!! Yay me! Yesterday was an online shopping success!).  Lol.  I went to a Marshall’s on Sunday and was so turned off by all the people and the lines that I decided I was not about that in-store shopping life.  So, online shopping life it is!!  I’m trying to do my best to have everything just show up on my doorstep to make my life easier!!   Amazon Prime to the rescue (and any other retailer still promising delivery before Christmas, like Nordstrom)!!  There are several things on my 2017 Holiday Gift Guide (like the Amazon echo dot (only $30 right now), the phone charger, the travel steamer, etc) and the 2017 Gift Guide for Him (the Adidas, the watch display boxthe Fitbit, the weekender bag, etc) that are from Amazon or Nordstrom (including the fab leopard clutch in today’s post). So, there is still a lot of hope for all of you last minute shoppers out there!

I’m not sure if you are aware, but over the weekend my life was made.  THE Tracee Ellis Ross (of Girlfriends and Blackish and being Diana Ross’s daughter fame) reposted a pic of ME wearing one of the dresses from her JCPenney Line on her Instastories!!  She (or someone who works for her, but in my mind, it was absolutely her and now we’re besties!!!) even responded to the thank you/I love you message I sent to her in response to the Instastory mention.  I was so thrilled!  I’m still thrilled!  So, what better way to celebrate than to post the other dress I got from her JCP line!!  I’ve loved this dress from the moment I saw it.  The colors are so pretty.   It’s completely covered up, but it’s still sexy because it hugs the body (in a way that necessitates shapewear, at least for me).

I took these pics in front of the Sugar and Cloth stairs in downtown Houston.  If I didn’t already have a post called “Doing the Most,” that would have been the title of this post! Here we have a printed dress mixed with a different print clutch mixed with a colorful background.  If that’s not doing the most, I don’t know what is.  It really is a colorsplosion, maybe even a printsplosion too!  I toned it down with the neutral shoe (in my skin tone to elongate my leg) and a solid yellow blazer b/c there’s nothing wrong with color on top of more color!  Have you shopped the Tracee Ellis Ross for JC Penney collection?  If so, what’s your favorite piece?

My next post will get you ready for NYE! Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!!

Shop the Post!
