Lady In Red

Dress: JCPenney // Shoes: Similar, Similar // Clutch: Similar, Similar

“When in doubt, wear red.” – Bill Blass.  Hi, Friends!! How stunning is this under $50 red dress?!! Yes…under $50.  It might be even less right now online at JC Penney.  When I saw this beauty in JCP, I knew I had to try it on.  I was pleasantly surprised when I did.  The red is so striking, and it has such a beautiful design!  And, of course, I love the sleeves! I can’t wait to wear it on a hot date. 🙂  That’s the first thing I thought of….date night!!  It would also be great to wear as a wedding guest or a sophisticated party guest.  This dress is also nice enough to be considered a cocktail dress.  It’s so versatile!  It’s perfect to wear to any of those occasions right now, but will also be great for the holidays!  I’ve linked to this exact dress and several similar dresses in different price points and with different levels of coverage on the top for those of you that love the look, but want to be more covered up.  There are a lot of ways to achieve this look!  Which is your fave??

Before I end this post, let me quickly tell you about my weekend.  On Saturday, I attended the Create and Cultivate Style Summit at the Houston Galleria.   Create and Cultivate is a movement for women looking to create and cultivate the career of their dreams.  It was awesome!!  The keynote speaker was actress Sophia Bush!!! Yes, of One Tree Hill fame and Chicago PD, etc.  I don’t think I even knew I really liked her until I heard her speak.  Lol.  She is incredible.  She had so much insight into building a brand, and she discussed some of her upcoming projects.  She’s definitely a real girl boss.  We were also treated to three different panels of successful bloggers discussing style, Instagram, and creating a path to success in this crazy blogging world!  It was truly very informative, and inspired me to keep pushing.  I don’t know if you guys are aware, but my 1 year blog anniversary is coming up!  Queen of Sleeves turns 1 in about 2 weeks!!  Can you believe it?  I can’t believe it’s already been a year.  I’ve learned quite a bit this year, and I can’t wait to share all of that with you in a future post.  Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!!!
