Nne Idi Ok!

Top: Day Mylane // Skirt: NY & Company (Plus) // Shoes: Zara (Similar) // Bag: Similar, Similar // Earrings: Similar, Similar

Hi, Friends!!  I had big dreams of having a post ready for you guys today that would give you some tips on remixing your wardrobe with examples from ways that I have remixed my wardrobe.  But alas, I have not finished compiling all of the looks, so it will have to wait until next week!  Stay tuned!!  Until then, here is one of my fave recent looks.  It’s also somewhat of a preview of one of my remix style tips: Dress down a dressy skirt by pairing it with a tee!

I’m obsessed with this Nne Idi Ok! tee by Day MyLane!  I love the color, the gold lettering, and the dolman sleeves.  Nne Idi Ok is an Igbo phrase of admiration that in many ways is saying, Lady…you’re looking good…you are enough…you have what it takes!  I love it.  In case you don’t know, I’m Nigerian-American and Igbo, so the fact that the tee is in my native language (that I need to make more efforts to learn to speak fluently in 2018) is another reason why I love it so much.  You can use my code, NNEKA20, to get 20% off at Day MyLane.

This sequin skirt from NY & Company is also amazing!  The sequins are double-sided, so every time you wear the skirt, it can look different depending on how you position the sequins.  Isn’t that awesome?  NY & Company still has this skirt, but unfortunately not in too many sizes.  What are your thoughts on this look?

Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for reading!!
