Hello, Loves!  I hope you all had a fab weekend!  My weekend was pretty good.   On Saturday I didn’t do much, but I had the opportunity to go to Cocktails with Claire on Sunday.  I’ve mentioned Claire Sulmers to you before (here and here).  She is the editor of an awesome blog, Fashion Bomb Daily, that featured me as their Bombshell of the Day!!  She has these Cocktails with Claire events around the country, and she finally came to Houston!  It was awesome.  I got to see a lot of my blogger friends (and meet some new ones) and hear a panel of accomplished and inspiring entrepreneurs.  The panel consisted of Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily (of course), Ty Hunter, a celebrity stylist (he styles Beyoncé!!!!!!), De’Shaun Chancy of Dare to Have Hair and other businesses, and Rachel Roff or Urban Skin Rx (some skincare products for urban skin that I intend to try).  The panelists offered a lot of wisdom on staying true to yourself, working hard, ignoring the haters, and doing what is necessary to make your dreams come true.  I wish I had recorded all of the advice or taken notes.  It was truly a fab time, and I left inspired!  I also had a lot of fun…and good food and cocktails! Some of you came along with me on my experience through my Instastories.  I hope you enjoyed it!

So, in this look today, I am wearing some tried and true pieces- my black dress, black heels, and pink clutch, all of which you have seen on the blog before (here, here, here) with a new piece, this Ankara tie from Shiraba.  It really makes a difference, doesn’t it?  Because often, like the title of this post says, something small can make such a difference.   It’s like wearing an Ankara statement necklace!   The tie is detachable and can be worn with shirts or dresses or whatever floats your boat.  My original plan was to wear it with a chambray top and some jeans, but I like the way this turned out 🙂  What do you think? Would you ever wear an Ankara tie?  Btw, all the giveaways I’ve been promising are coming soon (I just need to take the pics. Lol).  Enjoy the rest of your week, and thanks so much for reading!
