Happy 3 days before Christmas!!! THREE! I hope you’re all done or almost done with your Christmas shopping!! Unfortunately, I may have to go out and face the masses to do some last minute shopping today or tomorrow. One thing I neglected to do was buy wrapping paper or gift bags for all the gifts I ordered online. Next time, I will order that stuff online too! But it will get done and Christmas will be wonderful. Then right after Christmas, it’s time to start putting plans in motion for the new year!! 2018 is around the corner. I’m excited that I have the next few days off from work, so I can start organizing my life. I need to write down all the things I want to accomplish next year and maybe create a new vision board. I also need to do some cleaning and organizing, including cleaning out my closet! So much to do!!! After all of that, I’m not sure that I’ll have the energy this year for any type of big New Year’s Eve party. I will likely either go to church or stay home! While I’m over here chillin, I hope y’all will be out there living your best lives! If you have any fun New Year’s Eve plans, wearing a dress like the velvet one in today’s post would be a great idea!
I found this amazing velvet wrap dress (currently 50% off) at NY & Company! It’s from the Eva Mendes Collection. Her line has been around for awhile (much longer than the Gabrielle Union Collection) and it’s always had some great pieces. I paired the dress with fab burgundy velvet pumps that I found at Forever 21! Unfortunately, there are only a couple of sizes left, but I linked to other similar pumps below with more of a size range. My earrings are also from Forever 21 and I LOVE THEM! They are so pretty. I grabbed a black and gold bag to add some contrast to this perfect party look! Next time I wear this dress, I’ll probably add a brooch or a couple of pretty brooches to the waist band to glam up the look even more, like I did here.
