Hi, Friends!! How was your Thanksgiving?  Mine was awesome and I ate too much nearly every day of the long weekend.  I literally had stomach aches for at least two of those days from stuffing my stomach as full as possible.  I know…terrible. Lol.  Did you all get a bunch of shopping done over the holiday weekend?? I actually bought several things off of my own 2017 Holiday Gift Guide.  I told you many of the items on the gift guide were things I wanted!!  I decided I couldn’t wait to receive them as gifts and just bought them myself.  Some of the Amazon items on my gift guide were on sale, so I got a fire stick (only $25 discounted from $40), an echo dot (only $30 discounted from $50), and a portable charger.  I also bought the leopard clutch and leopard scarf on my gift guide from Nordstrom.  They weren’t on sale, but I wanted them!!  Haha.  I’ve been obsessing over that leopard clutch for months.  Sometimes, you should need to treat yourself…am I right??  I also bought two pairs of Banana Republic Sloan pants, since they were 50%.  It was basically like getting one free!  What did you guys get??

Since we are now back to work after the holiday, I figured it best to start back with a work style look!! So, let’s start with some fall layers! You’ve seen these burgundy corduroy pants on the blog before in this post and here (details in this post).  I’ve been really enjoying getting a lot of use out of them, and I love having another color of pants to wear to work other than my usual black BR Sloan pants .  The pants paired well with the plaid boyfriend blazer that has a hint of burgundy in it.  I love layering a button up shirt under sweaters during the fall.  It’s extra warm and it adds some preppy polish to a look.  Add a blazer over it and boom!  You are ready to slay any meeting.  And you know I had to add my pop of leopard for funsies!  I debated about carrying my new leopard clutch with this look instead and wearing black pumps, but I figured I would more likely carry a satchel to work rather than a clutch, so I went for realistic!  What are your thoughts about this look?  Would you wear these fall layers to work?

Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!
