Work Style: Leather + Statement Sleeves

Hi, Friends!! Today we have another work look on the blog!  This look shows a sophisticated way to elevate your work style!  Combining rich colors, unique details, and prints together in the same look says I know what I’m doing because I’m a boss and I’m fabulous!  One thing I love about this top is that it can be worn in several ways.  Of course, it can be tucked out or tucked in or worn with skirts, pants, or jeans, etc., but the sleeves can also be pushed up to give the top a different look.  I should have shown you what the pushed up sleeves would look like, but I didn’t think about it when I was in the middle of this shoot.  So, just take my word for it…it’s fab!  Lol.   Although this looks expensive, everything I have on was a bargain…the skirt was from the Who What Wear collection at Target last year (I have linked to similar styles below), the top is from JC Penney, the bag is from my local TJ Maxx (for $30!), and the shoes are Steve Madden that I got on a sale at DSW awhile back.  It just goes to show you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look good!

I’ve had dreams of putting together somewhat of a work look guide for you guys, a work capsule wardrobe perhaps, but it hasn’t happened yet.  Is this something you guys would love?? If so, let me know in the comments what you would like me to focus on!  Yes, I mostly post my personal style on here, but I want to make sure I’m posting things that will be useful to you!  In the meanwhile, I will continue to post more work looks and discuss ways to make other looks work appropriate.  Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!!

  1. Yes! I would love to see a work look guide – especially if you had a section on casual work outfits! 🙂

    1. Great suggestion, L!! My office is business casual, so perhaps I can create a good work look guide based on my office style, but include ways to dress it up for the more business professional office. I’ll start working on it!
