Happy Tuesday!!  I hope you all had a great weekend! Remember when I said I was going to Nola in my last post?  Well, I did, and my trip was awesome!!  I got to see some friends, enjoyed some good food, and was entertained (though disappointed) by the Saints game.  I had the opportunity to go out on the field after the game…that was very cool!  Check out a couple of my pics from my trip on Instagram.

Today we’ll be talking about a few ways to take a look from day to night.  If I have something to do after work, like a happy hour or date or something, I like to choose an outfit to wear to work that will go from day to night, rather than bring a change of clothes.  This look today represents what I generally do on such occasions.  I start out with a base outfit that I love…like a dress, skirt and blouse, or ankle pants and cute top.  Then after work, the main thing I usually do is change my shoes and my makeup.  I often wear flats all day at work, so if I’m going out, I’ll switch to a fun pair of heels to dress up the outfit.  One doesn’t need a major change to take a look from day to night, usually shoes and makeup will do it!  In this look, the change is fairly subtle.  I started off by pairing an ankara skirt, that I had made by my tailor, with a bodysuit.  In future posts, I’ll discuss how you can have your clothes tailor-made, like this skirt and my dress in this post.  Anyway, for my work look, I am wearing sensible, nude (for me) shoes, but added a pop of color bag for fun…though this outfit is pretty fun on its own.  I don’t believe that work clothes needs to be boring.  For the play look, I changed bags and shoes and added a jacket.  It’s not dramatic, but it works!  What are some different ways that you change your look from day to night?  Thanks so much for reading!! Have a blessed week!!
