Hey, Babydoll! Two Ways to Style This Floral Babydoll Dress

Dress: Target // Shoes: Calvin Klein // Bag: Similar, Similar // Sunglasses: Target

Hey, Friends and Sleevenistas!  Can you believe it’s already April?!!  So crazy how this year is just flying by!   I picked up this babydoll dress in Target a few weeks ago, and I really love it.  Remember when babydoll dresses were all the rage in the 90s?!  I didn’t even think that it was a babydoll dress when I saw it, I just loved how big and billowy it was.  The first thing I thought of when I saw it was, “I can eat whatever I want, and no one will be able to see my stomach! Yes!” Lol.  I was, however, concerned that it would make me look large, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t when I tried it on!  Since looking is large is a valid concern with a dress like this, I decided to show you guys two ways to style this dress!

The first way is just as it was meant to be…free and flowy.  The day I took these photos, I had worn the dress free and flowy to church earlier.  Speaking of wearing the dress in real life, the only thing I don’t like about this dress is that it wrinkles easily (I noticed this at church).  So, keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s perfect for many occasions, like church, brunch, or a date night.

The second way I styled it was belted!  I love the dramatic fit and flare shape it creates.  It’s super flattering! You could also throw a blazer over the belted version to wear to work! (I may do that soon).

There are a bunch of other ways to style this dress too.   In fact, Who What Wear had an article about this dress and the different ways to style it.  And guess who made it into the article…ME! Check it out HERE.

Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!
