MARCHing Forth

Dress: Amazon (under $35 and comes in a gazillion prints and colors)// Bag: Amazon // Belt: Amazon // Shoes: Similar // Earrings: Amazon // Watch: Timex

Happy March, Friends and Sleevenistas!! 2 things you may notice in this post: 1. this versatile leopard shift dress and 2. my natural hair! I think this is my first post on the blog showcasing my natural hair! Eeek! I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it to y’all before, but I’ve been going natural with my hair (i.e. no chemical relaxers to straighten my hair) for a couple of years, and quite frankly, it’s been a struggle to appreciate the natural texture of my hair.  Styling my hair used to take a few minutes in the morning, but now it always takes longer than I think and requires a ridiculous amount of products to achieve any type of look that I like.  In order to make my life easier, I normally wear my hair in my signature top knot, but I’ve been trying to make an effort to explore more natural hairstyles. One of these days, I’ll do a post about my natural hair struggles as a professional woman.  If any of you naturalistas have any haircare tips, leave them in the comments below!

Anyhoo, now let’s talk about this fab leopard shift dress!  You’ve seen this dress before in orange (HERE) and in Instagram posts HERE and HERE (check out my Amazon shout out!).  I also purchased this dress in black, so I can have a go-to black dress for going out.  I love that it can be worn as a comfortable shift dress or belted, like in these pictures, for a shorter, sassier look.  You can wear sneakers with this dress to run errands or throw on a pair of heels or sandals to grab drinks with friends. It’s so versatile! It’s perfect for so many occasions, comes in a ton of prints and colors, and is under $35!!  I purchased the XL for a looser/longer fit.  Would you rock this dress?

Btw, for those of you who like shopping my Amazon picks, I created some new lists!  Thanks to a lovely Sleevenista who asked me about dresses to wear to a wedding, I created a “wedding guest dresses with sleeves” list.  I also added a “swimsuits with sleeves” list, so y’all can get ready for spring and summer!  As always, I have the “my faves” list,  where I add everything I’m loving and/or buying.  I regularly add things to all of these lists, so feel free to check them out HERE any time you need shopping inspo!  Also, most of the things on these lists come in multiple colors/prints, so if you like the style of something on one of my lists, click on it to check out the other colors/prints!

Have a great week, and thank you so much for reading!
