Happy Friday, Folks!!  Time is really flying.  I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week!!  Ok, so…this outfit is made up of a lot of items in my wardrobe that I absolutely love: this super awesome t-shirt, black skinny pants, leopard pumps, and a yellow blazer.

First things first, I LOVE this t-shirt!!! It used to crack me up every time I saw it.  It still makes me giggle.  For those of you that may not know what “If life shows you pepper, make pepper soup” means, it’s basically a Nigerian version of: when life hands you lemons, make lemonade.  In Nigeria, if something is showing you pepper, it’s not a good thing.  It means trouble for you.  But, pepper soup?? Especially goat meat pepper soup??  It’s a very good thing.  It’s DELICIOUS!!!  If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you find a good Nigerian restaurant nearby and give it a try.

Anyhoo, back to the outfit. I love these Sloan-Fit Banana Republic pants.  Let me talk for a minute about these pants.  I bought them a couple of months ago, and they have become my new favorite pair of pants.   I wear them almost every day to work.  I also wore them in this post. Let me just note that it is not easy for me to find slim or skinny pants because I have thick thighs AND thick calves, so finding a fit that doesn’t look strange is a challenge.  But these are great!  They are super comfortable and stretchy.

Next, let’s talk about this blazer.  Remember what I said about mustard yellow being a neutral in this post??  This blazer is awesome and very versatile.  I was fortunate to find it at TJMaxx for around $30, but I have linked to a couple of similar blazers below.  I think this one from the limited is probably the closest match and very practical, but this beautiful cape style would basically create the same look as in the above photos, and it’s only $30!

Last, but not least, are the SHOES.  These might just be my favorite pumps.  If you don’t own leopard print pumps, you need to…ASAP.  They can add personality to just about any outfit (Leopard print is basically a neutral too, y’all).

Just remember that when life shows you pepper, don’t complain!  Use that pepper to make some delicious pepper soup, and then go on a shopping spree! haha.  Have a great weekend! And thanks for reading!
