Hi, Friends and Sleevenistas!! Happy New Year!  I hope you’re having a great year so far!  Like I said in my last post, I’ve been wanting to tell you guys about my staycation at Hotel Sorella.  I LOVE staying in hotels in general, but I really love staycations.  It’s like enjoying a mini-getaway without the travel time or expense.

About a month ago, I enjoyed an awesome weekend stay at Hotel Sorella, located in Houston’s CITYCENTRE.  I love that area of town because there are so many great shops and restaurants.  Prior to my stay, I had been to several events at Hotel Sorella and even enjoyed high tea at Radio Milano, the restaurant inside the hotel, but I’d never enjoyed a stay there. So, fortunately, when I reached out to the hotel for a staycation, they were happy to oblige and offer me a complimentary stay at their beautiful hotel.

When I first arrived, I was greeted by Karen at the front desk.  Throughout my whole stay, she was amazing and accommodating.  In fact, when I got there, I had a stomach ache.  I mentioned it to her, and she immediately offered me some medicine and water.  I thought it was super sweet.  She also provided me a map of the CITYCENTRE, so after I checked in and went up to my room, I decided to grab some food at the nearby Yard House, then I went shopping at H&M.

When I returned from my shopping spree, I decided to walk around the hotel a bit.  The sun was setting as I checked out the rooftop pool.  It was beautiful.   I also checked out the  Monnalisa, a bar/lounge in the hotel.

I ended up grabbing a drink at the bar, the signature Monnalisa drink, and it was delicious!  Very yum!  The bartenders were also really nice.  Later that evening, I stopped by the Monnalisa again, and it was a totally different atmosphere.  It was bangin! Do people still say bangin?  Anyhoo, it was super crowded, and there was an amazing live band.  I was a bit too pooped to really enjoy myself at the Monnalisa, so I went to bed.

After I woke up, I headed downstairs to enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast.  It was a great selection! I enjoyed a latte, pastries, and fruit (and may or may not grabbed a box of cereal for later). I was enjoying my stay so much that I wasn’t ready to go back home. I asked the front desk what it would cost to extend my stay, and they offered to extend it for another night!  It was a relief to know I could just chill and not have to rush to check out.  So, for the rest of the day, I relaxed and enjoyed myself in bed while taking advantage of all the cable channels and free wifi.

I can’t wait to go back! Have any of you enjoyed a staycation?  If you live in or decide to visit the Houston area, check out Hotel Sorella!

Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!
