Hi, Friends and Sleevenistas!!  Here is a last minute gift guide for y’all!  I called this a Gift Guide for the Family because it’s kind of a catch-all and contains gifts you can buy for couples or parents or kids or men or women.  I can’t believe Christmas Eve is exactly one week from today!!  I have only purchased one gift.  Smh. And I have about 10 more to go! I plan to order as much as I can online in the next couple of days.  FYI – For most retailers, tomorrow is the last day to order gifts online with standard shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas.

For this gift guide, EVERYTHING is on Amazon, so if you have Prime, you can get free two-day shipping.  One thing I’ve noticed, much to my dismay, is that things have been selling out on Amazon!  In my mind, they have an endless supply of everything. But alas, that is not the case.  So, if you have something in mind to order for your loved one, go ahead and do it before it sells out!  Here are the gift ideas:

1. The Total Money Makeover! – I highly recommend this book for yourself or as a gift.  For so long, I wanted to work on my finances, but I didn’t really have a plan.  I heard about this book on a podcast last year around this time and purchased it almost immediately on audible.  It changed my life.  Ever since then, I’ve been working to get out of debt and feel more confident and encouraged about my financial future.  Get this book!
2. Portable phone charger – I’ve said it before in previous gift guides, a portable charger makes a great gift!  Especially, since these phones like to die so quickly these days.  It’s great to have a charger nearby to help you make it through the day.
3. A weighted blanket – I’ve been hearing about weighted blankets for a couple of months now.  Apparently, they are all the rage.  They are sold out everywhere!  If you can find one, it would make a wonderful gift, particularly for the person in your life that has difficulty sleeping.  I really want one.  I hear they help you sleep better because the weight feels like a hug, so it reduces stress and anxiety.
4. An air fryer!! – I hear these things are amazing.  Since folks often have goals in the new year to lose weight, this is a great gift because they can eat delicious fried foods without the guilt!
5. A blender! – Another great gift for the person who is planning for a healthier 2019…green smoothies, anyone??
6. A Keurig – This is a great gift for the coffee lover, and Keurigs come in all kinds of price points.
7. An Echo spot (or any echo product) – I have an echo dot and I love it.  I probably need to use Alexa more because she can do so much stuff, but I typically call on Alexa to wake me up in the mornings to my favorite artist or gospel music.
8. Amazon Fire TV Stick – I have one, and it’s awesome!  One of the cool things about the fire stick is that you can travel with it and have access to your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Hbo Go, etc. wherever you have wifi and an outlet.
9. An Instapot –  I’ve heard these things are awesome.  It’s a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté, yogurt maker and warmer all in one!!
10. Moscow Mule Copper Mugs set – This set is under $35.  Great gift for anyone that loves this classic drink.
11. A portable clothes steamer!! – These little steamers are awesome! I have a similar one.  It’s great to steam your work or school clothes in the morning and it’s easy to take along with you when you travel.  I’m not a huge fan of ironing, so having a steamer is a lifesaver!  This is such a great gift for the student or the professional.
12. Amazon Fire tablet for Kids (or get one for Adults) – My nieces and nephew each have the ones for kids, and they love them.
13. The Nigerian Time Machine Activity Book – My friend created this book, and I think it would make a great gift for Nigerian families with kids or anyone who wants their kids to learn about a different culture.
14. Monopoly! – This classic game is the perfect gift for a family.
15. Becoming Michelle Obama! – This is the best selling book of 2018 after only being out for barely over a month.  I’ve read it, and I really enjoyed learning more about the backstory behind Barack Obama’s historic presidency.   It’s a great gift!
