Pumpkin, Spice, and Everything Nice

Tee: Target // Cardigan: Target // Shoes: DSW //  Skirt: Similar // Sunglasses: Forever 21 // Bag: Target

Hi, Friends and Sleevenistas!!  Today, we’re having some fun in a pumpkin patch…and you know what that means…FALL has finally made its way to the blog! Yes…yes, it’s been fall in the real world for weeks, but whatever.  Gosh, so much has been happening lately…where do I even begin?  I guess I can catch y’all up on some of the things that have been going on, in case you missed them!  A couple of weeks ago, something pretty cool happened…I was on tv!!!  Those of you that follow me on Instagram probably recall that I did a tv segment on Great Day Houston with the creative director of O! Magazine, Adam Glassman, and Chico’s!! It was so awesome!  In fact, the leopard coat above came from that opportunity! I was a model for a day, I got to meet someone who knows Oprah, AND I got to keep all the clothes.   It was so much fun.  If you want to check out the tv segment, you can find it HERE (I show up at about 4:15).

In the weeks since the tv segment, I’ve been pretty stressed, hence the lack of posts on the blog.  Things at work have been tough, and that seems to trickle down into the rest of my life.  I hope one day I’ll be able to balance work and the blog better.  It can sometimes be difficult to stay motivated, but I’m trying!  I’ve definitely been posting a little more regularly on Instagram though, so make sure you’re following me on there to keep up with what I’m doing.  If you already are, then you know I went on a trip recently!  I went to Los Cabos, Mexico for my friend’s 10-year wedding anniversary vow renewal.  It was amazing!  I was living my best life.  I plan to do a recap about my trip on the blog pretty soon, so stay tuned.  It will be my first travel post, so I’m excited about that.

Speaking of being excited, aren’t you excited it’s finally fall over here on Queen of Sleeves?!! I’m obsessed with the look in today’s post.  It came together last minute, as my looks often do.  As we were transitioning into fall, I tried to figure out which clothes of mine already in my closet would be great pieces to build on for this year’s fall wardrobe.  One of the pieces I pulled out of the depths of my closet was this suede mini. You may remember it from this post last year.   The skirt was from Old Navy, then I added a new tee and cardigan from Target, a leopard coat from Chico’s, and otk boots from DSW.

And FYI, my birthday is in a couple of days, which will officially mark two years of the Queen of Sleeves!! I launched the blog on my birthday, so it’ll be my birthday and blogiversary on November 6!! Yay!  I haven’t yet figured out what I’m doing.  I will, however, be headed to New Orleans next weekend for my 10-year law school reunion!  I am treating it like a birthday trip, so I plan to do the most and have a blast!  More on that later…

Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!
