Hi, Friends and Sleevenistas! Y’all know I’m a big fan of Amazon Fashion.  You can find just about anything at Amazon, and at all price points.  I typically look for pieces under $100, but Amazon has high-end brands available as well.  As you know, I’ve found some really amazing, affordable pieces.   Even with all that Amazon has to offer, the thing I love most about shopping on Amazon is that it’s convenient! I’m an Amazon Prime member (and have been for years!), so most things I order arrive in 2 days (some are even 1-day shipping!).  There’s nothing like not needing to go to the store and just being able to order clothes, have them shipped directly to you, then deciding whether they work for you or not.  I usually end up paying for everything, then if I need to return something, I have to wait for a refund.  I recently discovered Prime Wardrobe, which makes that process easier.

If you’ve never heard of Prime Wardrobe, it’s pretty great.  You have the opportunity to try on the clothes at home for 7 days before you pay for anything!  Then you can decide if you want to keep them or return them.  If you keep them, you are charged for the items you keep, but if you return them, no money ever left your bank account!  It’s even more convenient than normal Amazon Prime shopping! And if that wasn’t cool enough, Amazon has taken it a step further and added Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe!!

Personal Shopper is a really awesome new service, particularly for those of us who can be too busy to shop!  You basically get your own Amazon stylist to curate pieces for you!  And it’s only $4.99 a month!!  I’ve been using the service since it launched in July, and here’s how it works:

  1. Create your style profile, so your stylist can get to know your style and what you like.
  2. Customize your styling for the month.  Do you need a wardrobe update? Or do you need pieces for a vacation coming up?
  3. Preview your picks and choose up to 8 items to try at home.
  4. Use your 7-day try-on period to decide what you’d like to buy.  Returns are free and easy!

To get started using this service, first, head to the Amazon app on your phone.  Yes, all of this happens on your phone!  I’ve taken screenshots to show you how the process works.  So, if you don’t have the Amazon app, you need to get it!  After you go to the app, search Personal Shopper Prime Wardrobe and after it comes up, click on it, and you’ll see the screen below.

Then you click “LET’S GET STARTED”!  After that, you go through the process of creating your style profile to help the stylists understand your style better!  It’s a very detailed process where you’re able to select all of your style preferences, including sizing, silhouettes, and price points.

  • How often you wear certain styles, i.e. how often do you like to dress casual, edgy, romantic, etc.?
  • Which brands are already in your closet?
  • What colors should the stylist avoid?
  • What sizes do you typically wear?
  • What are your price preferences?
  • How often do you want certain items to be included in your wardrobe update? Casual looks? 9-5 essentials? etc.
  • How often do you wear dresses, skirts, jeans, etc.?
  • What is your body shape?
  • How do you feel about certain popular styles?
  • Then finally, how would you like to be styled this month?

Here is a snapshot of some of the screens:

So, I went through this process, completed my style profile, and signed up for the Personal Shopper service.  After I signed up, I waited for several days, then got the notification that my personal shopper picks were in!! I was pretty excited.  My August picks were great (Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture.  For some reason, I only took a picture of my September picks. I’m not sure why.).  They were really cute, but I didn’t order anything right away.  I thought a couple of the stylist’s picks were on the higher side of my price preferences, so I was hesitant.  But, I learned that you can give feedback to your stylist!  So, if you don’t like certain things, you can indicate why, and they will make adjustments for your next styling.  I told them what my issues were with some of the pieces – some were similar to what I already owned or not something I was looking for at the moment or a little bit pricey.  After I let them know the issues with the pieces, they apologized and offered to refund me my money for the month of August. So, that was really nice, especially since it was my first time using the service.  I don’t know if they do this all the time, but it seems like if you aren’t happy with your picks, you may not have to pay for that month!  Please note that the feedback and responses from my stylist were automated through the app.  I did not speak to or correspond with a live person.

I ended up wanting to order a couple of my stylist’s picks to try on, but by the time I decided to do that, the skirt that I really wanted had disappeared! 🙁 I guess someone must’ve bought my size while I was wasting time.  So, make sure that if you like one of your stylist’s picks, you order it quickly!  After all, you don’t have to pay immediately and can make a final decision within your try-on period.  Anyway, let’s move on to my September experience.

When my September picks came, I was impressed!  The pricing was much better and the pieces were cute!  Check them out below!

Isn’t everything so fab?!  And it looks like my style, right?  I loved the variety of colors and styles, and the prices were good too.  The only thing that was really off in price this time was that $73 top.  Everything else was fab!  I ended up ordering 7 pieces – the yellow top, the two work pants, both shoes, the sweater, and the black and white dress.  The box arrived in about 4-6 days.

Ta-Da!!  Then like magic, my box arrived with all the cute clothes in it! 🙂 I loved most of the pieces!  However, the dress was too tight, so, unfortunately, I couldn’t make that work.  The red sandals were really cute, but maybe a little too chunky for my taste.  I really liked the Le Weekend sweater, as seen below, and the snake print booties.  You’ll see the booties in a future post.  It’s probably not something I would’ve picked out myself, but they’re really cute, and I think they’ll be a fun addition to my wardrobe!  That’s the great thing about someone helping you shop.  You might step out of your comfort zone!

Even though I liked quite a few pieces, I knew I couldn’t keep them all because it was a bit more than I wanted to spend.  The total would’ve been over $200 (which isn’t bad for 2 shoes and 5 clothing items!), so I decided to send back some of the pieces before the 7-day try-on period was over.   The return process was easy because the box it came in (pictured above) was resealable and already had a return label in it.  I just put all the things I didn’t need into the box, sealed it, then dropped it off at the UPS Store.

Whew!  That was a long post.  I hope you liked it!  I just wanted to make sure y’all understand how the process for Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe works!  Would you try this awesome service?  Doesn’t it sound like something that can help with your everyday life? For only $4.99/month, give it a try!

Have a great week, and thanks so much for reading!
